(“Correct me if I’m wrong, but at 1:36, isn’t that the boss from the Frigate Orpheon in the beginning of the game? And isn’t that the plasma beam that Samus is firing at it? How does that work?”

When I first watched it, I thought it looked like the nova beam from Metroid Prime 3. Anyway, I watched it again and it turns out that the green beam is actually coming from the parasite queen and Samus is just shooting regular power beam shots.

Heh, it’s kind of funny how excited I am over a trailer for a Metroid Prime re-release, but as of right now, it’s honestly the Wii game I’m looking forward to most. I should point out that I didn’t mean to sound like I’m bashing the Wii, it’s just that I’m a HUGE Metroid fan.)
Me too I have metroid prime 1,2, and 3 if i had to choose from 1 2 and 3 I'd say 3

Question:if you to choose from 1 2 and 3 which would you pick

To Gamefreakr

If the game is anything like Metroid Prime 3, then there is likely a control option to swap the functions of the A and B buttons (B is to jump BTW). I too find it strange that they would advertise this control setup, but maybe it's to emphasize that it is NOT a FPS and is a FPA instead. Just a thought.

Ok, heres question why do you shoot with the A button instead of the trigger? I know not a big problem. Im just wondering why have a 1st person shoot game with out the gun being shot useing the trigger. I mean isn't that the reason its there. I know im making a big deal out of this which is unnessary and theres most likey going to be a change control option just thought i'd point that out.

Hello, I have often visited this site, but have just now registered. Anywho, one this that I do know that is different in this version of Metroid Prime (I saw this on another video) is they added the spring ball function from Prime 3. So now, you can jump in ball mode by flicking the Wiimote up. Also, the textures look slightly better, in the original, the black lines on Samus's armor looked pixalated, but not so here. Oh, and when you do the Video tour, could you show us how beam swapping works, cause they haven't shown that yet.

@Juja - Thanks, I couldn't quite make out what was going on in that one. I'd forgotten about what kind of attacks the parasite could do.

Metroid Prime 3 - Corruption for the Wii was awesome. The gameplay was perfect and so i hope that the Retro Studios did it with the WiiMakes, too! However, I will buy this WiiMake! :D

Wow, this looks really fun. I enjoyed the first Metriod Prime, as well as the two that followed. I liked the thrid one the most due to it's Wii Controls, but now, the first one will be extra amazing!

As of right now we don't know if any new features or modes have been put into the game aside from the Wii controls.

I'll be sure to get a Video Tour up for the game asap and let you all know.
