Video Tour – Cube Garden’s of Zen (EXCLUSIVE!)
Recently I was asked if I would be interested in giving a sneak peak Video Tour for an upcoming Wii Ware game called Cube Garden’s of Zen. Seeing as how it’s a Wii Ware game and it’s not like the dev. can send a beta copy of the game to me, I’m going to be showing off the PC version which will actually be a lot like the Wii Ware version.
Cube Garden of Zen is a really cool Puzzle game coming to Wii Ware for 1,000 Wii Points. No release date has been scheduled yet, but I assume it will be out in 2009.
For more info on the developer and Cube check out their website at http://www.Kalydo.com

I hope the Wiiware title is as promising as the PC version. Thanks for the tour!
This game looks like a lot of fun, graphics are ok, but it looks kinda rough around edges of the cubes, like it needs anti aliasing. Thats the only thing that catches my eye, everthing else looks cool.
Looks good. If the visuals were sharpened up a bit, and you could have full camera control via the nunchuck analog stick, I’d be sold for sure.
Hello everyone,
Thanks Josh for this amazing indepth coverage, everyone at the office today had a blast watching this video. We couldnt have given such a wonderful description of our own game as well as you did.
In reply to all:
- Everything is still in development and the graphics shown are tailored to perform well online (browser based) on intel integrated chipsets (laptops etc). Ofcourse we will try and knock up the visuals more when we have more GPU to heat up.
- The multiplayer thing is still a point of design-debate. We do love it a great deal ourselves so yeah!
- The game has a wonderful userfriendly map maker used by our gamdesigners inhouse. If we can manage this will be avaiable to consumers as well. But dont pin us down on this one just yet
Thanks for all the wonderful reactions so far!

I don’t really care about multiplayer (especially for a puzzle game, how would that even work?) but a the game is *begging* to have a map editor.
Also, one thing that bothers me, is why is it timer-based and not ‘moves’ based. ie, doesn’t it make more sense to score you based on how many moves you used, rather than how quickly you did it? Since there’s really no time-based gameplay, it’s basically a board game?
I agree to both of your suggestions. I think that a online download level option would be good as well as overall highscores and whatnot. The game potential as well as the time that gamers can play this game without becoming bored would raise if a online option was available, in my opinion.
Also, I think a space level would be fun considering the cube-ness of the game. But I don’t know how it would fit into the Asian theme. Maybe as a secret unlockable?
This game looks awesome!
Is there a thing where you can build a stage like you could in dewy’s adventure or no? Also, how does the block of yourself change to your mii?
The block won’t be of yourself.
For some reason, this reminds me of the Torn World in Pokémon Platinum…. Speaking of which, I should probably work on beating Platinum before it comes out in America… LOL.
it could be better if it have an “create your own stage ” mode and be able to send stages you create to your friends.
Sorry if this is slightly off topic, but does anyone else have any problems watching the videos? I mean all I get a sort of green loading bar permanently. I’ve tried a few different videos and it’s the same result. My broadband speed is 20MB, so it should load something.
I’ve also tried this site on the latest versions of Firefox, IE, and Safari, on both Windows XP and a new Mac. I love the site layout and everything but just can’t watch anything. Cheers.
It is unique japneese game which i agree should have 2 player capablities
I give this a 8 and a half out of 10
Will you be able to customize your character? Like giving him different outfits? Because that’s always funny.
This game looks AWESOME!
definatley getting this
looks not stupid but also not the best
